Time…………we don’t have enough of it do we?
So many books are published annually about time management and efficient use of it, how to work around it, how to use it wisely that we are inundated with the whole concept of time.
We are told in the scriptures to redeem our time because the days are evil.
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
That verse cautions us to make sure we don’t waste our time because we live in horrible times. Look around you and it will be very clear that as evil the day was when this verse was written, it hasn’t gotten any better in our day. Satan would love to cause us to waste our time and get nothing accomplished for the Lord. He is a master at it because he is the master of the world and loves to ensnare us.
Thank God, we have another verse that tells us
I John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
We are already victorious, but we have problems living like it. Greater is he that is in us, then the master of the world. We can do this. We can manage our time and use it wisely for God because that is what He has called us to do.
When I used to work for the Department of Defense, we had an acronym for lost time; OBE which stood for overcome by events. We meant to accomplish something but other priorities got in the way. Life happens ladies and if we are not careful, one day we will realize how much of life got in the way of what we really wanted to accomplish with it.
If you go to YouTube and google “Jar of Life” – Put Important things first, you will get a valuable lesson on the importance of prioritizing the critical things in life first and then making time for all of the other things that you want to do. I encourage you to take just a few minutes today and watch this video and we will talk about it next time we get together
Until then, God bless you, Margie
