Happy New Year!
This is the beginning of 2019 and your first opportunity to make a difference this year. We have a clean slate, a new sheet of paper to write our days on. We are all beginning this year on an equal footing and can make such a difference in the world around us, but first, we must make a difference within ourselves!
This could be the year that you sell out completely to God, to do His will and His work. This could be the year that you draw closer to Him than you ever have been before. This could be the year ………………… (finish the sentence). This could be the year!!!!!
Whether it is the year or not depends on You and on Me. We have the choice to make it the best year or the worst year in our lives. Even if bad events happen, we still have a choice how we react to them.
Make a choice today to:
You and I will make a choice one way or the other and I pray that we both choose God above everything else. Make Him the absolute center of our life, our daily walk, our habits, our conversation, our all in all.
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
To know Him in the context is was used is a very personal intimate knowledge. To really know Him is my desire for this year. I want to know Him better, closer, more, and all the other words to describe it. It will be work on my part and on your part if we choose to do this, but the rewards will be so wonderful. Imagine God being totally in the center of your life every day. I know we like to think He is now, but I know me and that’s not the case in my life. I fail Him daily in my walk, my conversations, my attitude and my actions.
Please join me this year in making it the Year of the Lord! I will let you know how I am doing, and I pray that you will do the same. Happy New Year, Love, Margie
