All Things New!
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each of you. As we approach 2019, we often reflect on our lives, (where we are, where we’ve been and where we wanted to be). A lot of resolutions are made at the beginning of the New Year, but sadly often broken before the first month has passed. Diets are one good example of New Year resolutions/promises that are often broken or end in failure.
The New Year brings an opportunity for each of us to have a clean page. Remember the toys that we could draw on and either lift the page (for those of us old enough to remember) or shake the toy and all the writing would disappear. That’s an example of what a New Year can be for all of us. A chance to start over again. A mulligan if you will.
Please take a few days before January 1st and pray about what God would have you accomplish in 2019. Maybe a ministry that He wants you to work towards or someone that He has placed on your heart to help.
We will be celebrating 2019 at a women’s brunch located at Cheaha Baptist Church in Oxford Alabama on January 12, 2019 between 10:00 and 12:00 A.M. It will be a time for us to meet each other, new friends and reacquaint with old friends, to eat, fellowship and have our annual WIGS jewel ceremony. The women from Cheaha are anxious to meet all of us and get to share service ideas. The ladies are hosting us with a meal, so it is really important to R.S.V.P. for food count.
This is the beginning of a new Year, another clean slate and another opportunity to commit to helping others around us by doing at least one service project each month. Please join us for this time of fun, food and fellowship. You will not be asked to do anything other than eat, have fun and be challenged to serve!
Looking forward to seeing each of you there. We will post address and directions on the website and also the Facebook page.
This is the New Year and All Things are fresh and New! Take a New look at WIGS!
Love you, Margie
