Bags Of Hope

Imagine not having toilet paper, clean water, food to eat, a place to stay. Imagine being cold and wet, helpless, and hopeless.

Please help us to help those living in this situation. Many in the homeless population are women and children.

In place of money, help us share the love of God by helping with their basic needs.

The bags are given to anyone willing to distribute them. You can keep a bag of hope in your car and give some to some friends to give our to people in need that they encounter. It is a lot of fun to gather the items and assemble the bags together!

The items needed are: 1. plastic ponchos ($store) 2. pop topped canned meals or soups 3. bottled water 4. diaper wipes (not hand sanitizer!) 5. toothbrushes 6. toothpaste 7. toilet paper 8. crackers (cheese, peanut butter, etc.) 9. socks 10. deodorant 11. wrapped plastic spoons and forks 12. feminine products. 13. Bible tract/note of encouragement.

Keep several Bags of Hope in your car. When you see a homeless person you will be able to give them a blessing.

The challenge is to assemble and give out at least one Bag of Hope this month.

Please let us know how you do this challenge. Some people have a Bible study or fellowship and then members assemble the bags. Some groups make it a mother/daughter/granddaughter event. A lot of groups include whole families.

We women are good at bringing people together! What a wonderful way to teach our young people how to serve God by serving others. I am so excited to hear all about your experiences!
