Continuing the Legacy of Service

I hope that each of you had a wonderful Easter season and are heading toward summer at warp speed.  The older that I get, the quicker time seems to pass.  We no sooner finish with Christmas and it’s Easter, summer, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas once again.  Have you taken time to serve this month?  You will never get it back.  Time is a commodity that we cannot store for use later.  Service is not an option for a Christian, but it is a command from out Lord.

7 More F’s for Spiritual Growth!

Happy Spring to you!  We're well into April here and with it comes blooms, life, flowers, leaves and pollen!  Praying that you have been growing in your faith since last month.  It was the first of the seven “F’s that I shared with you from my Legacy.  Take my hand is the theme for 2019 and I am offering you my hand of fellowship toward helping you grow spiritually.  The “F” topic for April is Family.  How can we connect spiritual growth within a family unit?  Use your own imagination.  You can:

The Seven F’s in My Legacy for Leadership

Hi everyone.  Spring has finally come to the south.  At least this week it has…the dogwoods and azaleas are out in bloom and pollen is everywhere!  Alabama gold dust!

It is my prayer that you have been following us in our monthly blogs about the 7 “F”s in my Legacy and have examined your faith last month.  During the month of April, we are reaching our hand out to you to help with leadership within your Family.  That’s right, Family is our Legacy topic for this month

The Seven F’s in my Legacy for Service

Happy Spring to you.  Hope you are more in love with Jesus Christ than you have ever been.   You will never regret time spent with Him.  Our focus for the next several months is on a list of important components that I put together for my book to my family.  They are things that I want to leave them as my legacy to encourage and guide those who are coming after me. I am only going to talk about the first item on my list this month and in the coming months, we will look at others so you will know what to expect.  They are listed in my order of importance:

The Seven F’s in my Legacy for Leadership

I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to some warm weather and also the time change!  It will be good to wake up and it be daylight.

I pray that you have renewed your love with Jesus Christ in this month of “love”!  During March and following months, I would like to share my Seven “F”s of my Legacy that I am leaving to  my family who follow me.  I believe that they are applicable to all of us and especially to those of us in leadership positions.  I have listed them in my order of importance:

The Seven F’s in my Legacy for Spiritual Growth

Here it is March already and spring is around the corner.  We had a mild winter here in Alabama, but those of you who live in the Northern part of our country had quite a winter!  I pray that you took time in February (the month of love) to fall back in love the Savior.  I have been writing a book for my family for the past three years.  It is my Legacy to them.  I am working on the final chapter and have been praying about what I want them to know to be successful in their lives.  I have come up with seven components that I pray they will find as important as I have.  We are going to be talking a lot about them in the coming months.  They are listed in order of importance to me and are:

Take My Hand in Service

Greetings to you once again.  I trust that you are busy in your service to others, but I would like to take a few minutes of your time to ponder WIGS overarching theme for 2019.  It is “Take my hand”.  Take my hand is Service, in Spiritual growth and in Leadership.  If I said to you” Take my hand”, would you reach out to me?

Take my Hand in Leadership

It has already been such a wonderful year, getting to meet new members and spending time in fellowship and fun.  There were a lot of new friendships made at the Cheaha Baptist Church last month when they hosted us for brunch.  The food was great, and the ladies were just amazing.  We ended the meeting with our annual Jewel Ceremony that was so very special.  Hope you made it and if not, keep checking the website for the next event.

The overarching theme of WIGS for 2019 is “Take my hand”.  WIGS is offering to “take you hand” in any way that you need or want us to do.  We will “take your hand” in leadership and help you get a small group started.  We can help grow your small group if you already have one and give you tools and creative ideas how to energize the ladies that you are already working with.

Have you been praying about God’s will for your life?  Have you already identified your spiritual gifts that He wants you to use in ministry?  Do you have a plan of action in place to begin or continue the ministry that you have already begun or want to start?

These are all questions that you need to ask yourself and once you get the answers, let WIGS “take your hand” and help you at whatever level you are.  We would love to share ideas and ministries with you that will help you not to reinvent the wheel.  So many of us have been where you are now and would love to mentor you as you move forward for the Lord.

Philippians 2:2-4

2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Paul encourages us to be likeminded, loving one another and others.  We can together to get so much more accomplished.  It’s simple mathematics…………if just one lady does one service for one month, than one service gets done. If one hundred ladies do just one service for one month then, one hundred services get done and one person isn’t worn out completely.  In most cases, only a few women do most of the work all of the time.  Just think what could happen if we all took our share.  We could change the world that we live in.  WE really could!!!!!

The clock is already ticking, and time is wasting.  Let’s commit to do it.  Let me know when you are ready.

Together in God’s service, Love each of you, Margie
