Take my Hand in Leadership

It has already been such a wonderful year, getting to meet new members and spending time in fellowship and fun.  There were a lot of new friendships made at the Cheaha Baptist Church last month when they hosted us for brunch.  The food was great, and the ladies were just amazing.  We ended the meeting with our annual Jewel Ceremony that was so very special.  Hope you made it and if not, keep checking the website for the next event.

The overarching theme of WIGS for 2019 is “Take my hand”.  WIGS is offering to “take you hand” in any way that you need or want us to do.  We will “take your hand” in leadership and help you get a small group started.  We can help grow your small group if you already have one and give you tools and creative ideas how to energize the ladies that you are already working with.

Have you been praying about God’s will for your life?  Have you already identified your spiritual gifts that He wants you to use in ministry?  Do you have a plan of action in place to begin or continue the ministry that you have already begun or want to start?

These are all questions that you need to ask yourself and once you get the answers, let WIGS “take your hand” and help you at whatever level you are.  We would love to share ideas and ministries with you that will help you not to reinvent the wheel.  So many of us have been where you are now and would love to mentor you as you move forward for the Lord.

Philippians 2:2-4

2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Paul encourages us to be likeminded, loving one another and others.  We can together to get so much more accomplished.  It’s simple mathematics…………if just one lady does one service for one month, than one service gets done. If one hundred ladies do just one service for one month then, one hundred services get done and one person isn’t worn out completely.  In most cases, only a few women do most of the work all of the time.  Just think what could happen if we all took our share.  We could change the world that we live in.  WE really could!!!!!

The clock is already ticking, and time is wasting.  Let’s commit to do it.  Let me know when you are ready.

Together in God’s service, Love each of you, Margie

Are You Ready to Lead?

Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone and into a leadership position?  2019 can be YOUR year to lead.  If you are already a leader, what about taking it up to the next level?  My favorit cartoon movie of all times in “UP” and one of the best lines is “Adventure is out there”

There are opportunities everywhere for leaders to succeed with small groups.  You can lead:

Are You Ready to Serve?

Are you ready to start 2019 serving others?  WIGS is all about service.  We ask each lady to perform a minimum of one service each month.  That is such a small thing to do….just one!  God has given us so much.  We are a people of great wealth even if we don’t have extra money in our bank account or even have a bank account.  He has given us:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

This is the beginning of 2019 and your first opportunity to make a difference this year.  We have a clean slate, a new sheet of paper to write our days on.  We are all beginning this year on an equal footing and can make such a difference in the world around us, but first, we must make a difference within ourselves!

Happy 2019!

All Things New!

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each of you.  As we approach 2019, we often reflect on our lives, (where we are, where we’ve been and where we wanted to be).  A lot of resolutions are made at the beginning of the New Year, but sadly often broken before the first month has passed.  Diets are one good example of New Year resolutions/promises that are often broken or end in failure.

Prayer is…powerful

If we only knew the power that is available to us through prayer, it would stagger most of our minds.  The Scripture is full of accounts of God using human prayers to accomplish might miracles:

If our prayers aren’t answered like we wanted, then maybe we didn’t believe or maybe it just wasn’t in God’s plan.  We must believe that he is able to do anything that we ask.

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

There is power in the prayers of a righteous person. Pray, pray and then pray more!

The Christmas Star

The Christmas Star

I ASKED THE LORD TO GIVE ME A WORD THAT MIGHT HELP EACH OF US DURING THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON.

I KEPT THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT DANIEl, MY PASTOR, SAID SEVERAL YEARS AGO.  HE WAS TALKING ABOUT THE BIRTH OF JESUS AND THE WISE MEN COMING TO SEE THE YOUNG CHILD (NOT A BABY BY THEN) AND HE MENTIONED MATTHEW 2:2

A Gift for the Savior – The Real Gift

Do you know what the term” get into the short rows” means?  It came from people who toiled in gardens that knew they were almost finished working when they got into the short rows in the fields.  Well ladies, we are in the short rows to Christmas now!  Only six more days of gifts for the Savior and we will come to His birthday!

I am so excited how God is using me to bless others and Him by these wonderful gifts that He has allowed me to give to my family, friends, neighbors and strangers

A Gift for the Savior – Fellowship

Enter your text here...Getting closer to Christmas every day!  Hope that you have been giving gifts to the Savior this month.  Hasn’t it been fun?  I am so excited to finish this project and see how God blesses.  I will never be able to give God anything compared to the free gift that He gave me.  It was free to me but cost Him everything.  His only Son gave His life for me.  It wasn’t taken from Him but He willingly gave it so I might have eternal life.  I am so grateful for that.  I count it a privilege to give back just a small token to Him for His marvelous gift to me.

Prayer is…petition

We finally come to the most widely form of prayer that we are familiar with.  It is simply asking God to grant us our desires.  We don’t usually have a problem asking God for anything and that’s what we should do….ask Him because He is ultimately the only one who can give us what we need or want.
