Another Gift for the Savior

Glad to see you back.  Hoping that you have been busy making a list of gifts for the Savior this month.  If you read last week’s blog, you have a good idea of what we plan to do this month for the Lord.  We are going to put Him at the top of our gift list and give Him a gift each day of December.

Matthew 2:11 tells us that gifts to the Savior were presented at the very first Christmas so giving something to Him is not anything new.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

We must be busy planning because December 1st is right around the corner!

My list is going to begin with simple gifts that I can give Him

December 1 – Sending a Christmas card to:

A recovering American Soldier c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Ave, NW Washington, DC 20307-5001

December 2- Visiting the hospital/nursing home

December 3- Donate food to the local food bank-food pantry

December 4-Meet with my WIGS small group and deliver lap blankets to the shut-ins from church

Dec 5 –Deliver candy/cookies to staff at church

December 6 –Wrap presents to all members of my Sunday school class (I am their teacher)!

That will take care the first 6 days and get me in the swing of it.  I also plan to read my Bible and pray each day in the entire month of December, even the busiest days.  I will worship and praise the one who Died for me and gave me life everlasting specifically each day of December.

Anything that I give to Him will pale in comparison to the gift that He gave to me and I pray that you will want to give Him gifts of yourself this special Christmas season too.

Wishing you and yours a most Joyous Christmas December,

Margie
