A Gift for the Savior

Praying that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family.  Hope the preparation helped make it a better one and if it did, please share with us so others can benefit.

We are now officially “30” days until Christmas.  It has come quickly once again and is only 30 days away.  I know like me, you will be busy decorating, cooking, candy making/baking, buying gifts and wrapping them, hosting/attending get togethers with family and friends, but I would like to challenge all of us including me to add a Gift for the Savior at the top of our “to-do” lists.  After all, the reason Christmas even exists is because we are celebrating His Birthday!  Shouldn’t He get the best gift?

This week, I am making a list of gifts that I can give the Savior and plan to give Him one each day of December.  What can we give Him who has everything?  He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 50:10-11

10. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

11.I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

We can give Him a lot of gifts in December that would make Him happy:

  • Our whole heart, worship, adoration and love
  • Our service, to family, friends, neighbors, and those in need
  • Our time and resources, finances and will
  • Our Bible study, prayer life personal growth

We cannot out give our Lord.  He gave us the Best Gift He had and still gives us gifts daily.  He gives us:

  • His love and forgiveness
  • Families, health, and strength
  • Homes, cars, jobs, resources
  • Protection and care
  • His full attention

I am going to be sharing my list with you and pray that you will share your list with us in this ministry.  We will have 24 days to plan our gift for the Savior.  Let’s make it the greatest Christmas gift that we’ve ever given Him.  One that will bring Joy to the world and especially to Him.  Love y’all and hope to hear from you soon.  Margie
